Heroic Police Dog Dies In Parisian Counter-Terror Operation
A brave police dog named Diesel lost her life today in the suburbs of Paris during a counter-terror police raid. The seven-year-old Belgian shepherd died after a female terrorist fired her AK-47 at the police and detonated a suicide vest packed with explosives, the Police Nationale has confirmed.
Diesel was sent to one of the buildings in the northern Parisian suburb of Saint-Denis to help police officers and soldiers track down the mastermind behind the tragic attacks in the French capital. As she was sniffing out traps, the woman started shooting at the police and eventually took her own life, claiming the innocent life of this heroic pooch.
The official Twitter profile for Police Nationale tweeted that Diesel ‘was killed by terrorists in the current operation in Saint-Denis.’ Police handlers said it felt ‘a little like losing one of our colleagues’ while the French were quick to pay their respects to the poor pooch.
