Ridiculously Happy Dog Makes Soccer Game Interesting

We usually don’t think of ourselves as an isolationist crowd here at DogShow, but even we draw the line somewhere. And that line is soccer, and more specifically that good old-time the Simpsons nailed it back in the 90s.

When you grow up with the NBA, NHL and NFL (and to some extent the MLB), it is difficult to see the attraction in an insanely slow game where players are rewarded for being fakers.

Like this guy who gets tackled by a phantom limb.

Or this guy who confuses his leg with his face.

Or this over-dramatic dude.

Or the guy who does the reverse “stop hitting yourself, stop hitting yourself”.

It is also important to make sure your flop has been seen.

People who like soccer say that it is the perfect metaphor for life – slow, boring, super-exciting at (very brief) moments and so, so fickle.

The only thing that can save a game of soccer, in our opinion, is a dog. And this is exactly what happened during a game between Pumas UNAM andDeportivo Lachira F.C. last night.

He was just super excited to be on the pitch, jumping the players and being an overall good boy.

He was even exhilirated as he was being carried out.

Now, this kind of soccer we might even dig.
