Are You Ready To Meet The Coolest Dog Of All Time?

Imagine the three coolest people you know. Like for instance Dr. John, Christopher Lambert and the guy who plays the drums on Bill Withers’ Ain’t No Sunshine.

The guy who appears at 0:30.

Now roll all three of them into one person and make it a dog. You know who you’d get? You’d get Piper, the critter hunter/scarer of the Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City, Michigan.

Look ma, no hands!!! LT Nick Vlasak uses some sort of voodoo magic to taxi the 1-1 into #uscg #airstatvc’s ramp a couple weeks ago. LT Vlasak invited Pipe and I to our first event at the Air Station and we haven’t looked back. So, on this #warriorwednesday, we’re saying thanks. Thanks for your service and for being a damn good friend, Pickle! Random Fact: Likes golf, but much better driving the -65 than a golf ball… ? No really, just take a look at the photo above. He is cooler than the cool side of the pillow, with his eye-protecting goggles, ear-protecting muffles and something wrapped around his left front leg (probably something he uses to stop skidding airplanes).

He even has dog tags around his neck. Or are they called human tags when worn by dogs?

Piper is a 7-year old border collie and he’s been keeping the planes and other flying machines secure from critters and especially birds at the Cherry Capital Airport for quite some time now.

That is one cool dog.
