New Law Allows Dogs In California Restaurants

A new law has been passed in California that will most certainly thrill all dog owners.

Namely, pet owners will be allowed to dine with their dogs at restaurant outdoors.

The law was signed last week by Governor Jerry Brown, a proud Welsh corgi owner.

Starting next year, California dogs will be able to enjoy tasty meals with their human families in all sorts of restaurants.

Of course, there are some basic rules that need to be followed: the dog has to be leashed and well-behaved at all times.  In addition, they cannot enter restaurant areas where food is prepared.

“We’re thrilled that now restaurants will have more freedom to determine for themselves the customers they’d like to serve,”

said Angelica Pappas, spokeswoman for the California Restaurant Association.

“For many, the four-legged kind – and their people – are a hungry market.”

However nice this may sound, bear in mind that restaurants that don’t want to serve canines can still prohibit them.
